Overview

A Night To Remember II brought Pro Project Promotions to Liverpool for its second charity boxing gala, founded by former Arsenal goalkeeper Graham Stack to give ex-footballers a new challenge while raising money for charity. On 17 April 2026, Titanic Hotel Liverpool hosted ten former footballers across five bouts, with sporting guests, live comedy and premium dining.

Rubi supported the event across campaign creative, fighter storytelling, social media, photography and video production, work that had to hold up months before the event, during the show and long after the final bell.

This was a Liverpool event with its own personality, not a repeat of the first London gala. We adapted the established Pro Project Promotions identity to a new city, fresh fighters and a bigger live production programme.

The Challenge

Following the first A Night To Remember, the second event had to maintain the original’s credibility while speaking directly to football and boxing fans across Merseyside, appealing to table buyers, fighters, charity partners, sponsors and the live stream audience.

Ten footballers needed individual stories, five matchups needed consistent creative, and the production team needed video, graphics and audio delivered accurately and on time. Every part had to feel connected, from a social reel to a ring entrance graphic.

There was also a commercial and charitable purpose: the creative had to attract table enquiries while keeping the two beneficiary charities visible alongside the boxing and entertainment.

What We Did

We built an integrated campaign combining the excitement of a boxing promotion with the polish of a premium charity gala, running from early planning through the live show, broadcast handover and follow up fundraising.

Liverpool Campaign Creative Direction

We developed artwork giving A Night To Remember II a Liverpool identity within the Pro Project Promotions brand, using city inspired imagery, cinematic boxing portraits and consistent treatments across posters, announcements and social content.

Ten Fighters and Five Bout Campaigns

The campaign introduced ten former footballers across five matchups: Ryan Cresswell vs Carl Dickinson, Steve Jennings vs Adam Hammill, Ross McCormack vs Matt Kilgallon, Lee Trundle vs Chris Iwelumo, and Bradley Orr vs Carl Ikeme, each with its own identity sitting within one coherent campaign.

Fighter Interviews and Training Camp Content

The footballers were the campaign’s strongest stories. We turned interviews, gym sessions and weeks of preparation into short, personality led video edits that highlighted their commitment and the event’s wider aim of giving retired players purpose.

Social Media Management and Content Planning

We ran an ongoing stream of social media content from fighter reveals and training stories through to booking creative and countdowns, combining photography, graphics and short form video across platforms.

Press Conference and Media Promotion

The campaign included artwork and content around the Liverpool press conference and media activity, supporting radio and local sporting coverage while keeping the established visual style intact.

Sporting Guests, Panels and Live Entertainment

We promoted a programme beyond the five bouts, featuring Jamie Carragher, Tony Bellew, David Price and Neil Ruddock, a boxing discussion hosted by Johnny Nelson, a football discussion and comedy from Frankie Allen.

Paid Advertising and Table Booking Campaigns

Advertising creative built around the footballers, the venue and the charitable purpose evolved from awareness to table enquiries and final booking prompts, following the same identity as the organic content.

Charity Films and Fundraising Calls to Action

We produced two charity story films, five fighter led appeal videos and a silent auction video, connecting the entertainment back to the people and services the event supported through donation messaging.

Forty Graphics for the Live Broadcast

For the five bouts we prepared eight motion graphics per matchup, 40 broadcast files in total, each package containing a tale of the tape graphic, fighter name animations, fact graphics and round specific lower thirds.

Video Content for the talkSPORT Boxing YouTube Broadcast

Beyond the motion graphics we prepared fighter introduction films, charity videos, donation prompts and branded transitions for the talkSPORT Boxing YouTube broadcast, organised for the production team within the show running order.

Ten Individual Fighter Walkout Videos

We produced ten fighter walkout videos for arena playback, introducing each boxer before their entrance and adding another layer of professional sports presentation to the gala.

Ten Ring Entrance Music Packages

We organised individual walkout music files and edited versions for all ten fighters, ensuring the audio, video and graphics were clearly identified for rehearsal and playback on the night.

Event Signage, Partner Creative and Print

We carried the campaign into the Rum Warehouse with round cards, scorecards, signage, raffle tickets and sponsor graphics, keeping the event consistent in person, on camera and across the wider content.

Event Photography and Videography

We coordinated a multi photography team covering the red carpet, guests, panels, auctions and ring action, alongside a cinematic highlights film balancing the venue’s luxury with the fights’ pace.

Live Show and Broadcast Coordination

With five bouts, ten walkouts, live auction activity and two beneficiaries, we prepared clearly named material for the broadcast and venue teams so the right asset appeared at the right time.

Post Event Highlights and Charity Follow Up

After the final bell we produced winners content, photography and recap material for Pro Project Promotions, plus further content supporting the charity cheque presentations and outcome storytelling.

Campaign Promotion and Paid Creative

Paid and organic promotion kept the event visible throughout the build up, centred on the five matchups, the former footballers, the Liverpool venue and the charity cause.

We developed materials across the booking journey, from awareness and fighter announcements to clear calls to book a table, backed by press, training and charity stories rather than repeated sales posts.

The gala sold out, though records don’t isolate advertising’s specific contribution; verified spend, reach and conversion totals can be added once available.

Key Outcome

A Night To Remember II sold out Titanic Hotel Liverpool and raised £73,500 for two charities, £36,750 each to Children’s Charity Merseyside and Autism Initiatives, taking the total raised across both galas to £201,000.

Rubi delivered an integrated programme including ten fighter campaigns, five matchup promotions, 40 broadcast graphics, ten walkout videos and music packages, charity video, social media and paid advertising creative, plus live coverage.

The result was a consistent campaign that made the second gala feel established in its own right, supported live and remote audiences and kept the charity purpose visible throughout.
